Application Areas

🚨 Application TIP: Make sure the spray gun and the adapter are fully seated. Otherwise, only gas can come out first and the foam cannot come out when there is no gas inside.

Application Temperatures

  • Can Storage Temperature: min. 41°F max. 86°F.
  • Temperature Resistance: -103°F to 239°F.
  • Application Temperature: 41°F to 86°F.
  • The cans should be kept at room temperature for at least 12 hours before the application if cans are stored below/above storage temperature.

Properties

  • Closed Cell Hybrid Formula.
  • Outstanding adhesion for most building materials.
  • Easy to apply uneven, hard-to-reach surfaces where it is very hard to use traditional insulation materials.
  • Excellent R-Value: 5.66 per inch and thermal insulation value 0.025 W/(m.K).
  • Does not allow the formation of thermal bridges.
  • Does not allow the formation of dew points.
  • Yield up to 20 board feet for 1-inch thickness from one can if applied from a distance of ~16 inches with normal application speed.
  • Thanks to its dense structure, it stops water, air, bugs, etc.
  • Can be painted.
  • Color may vary.
  • Every can includes a precision spray foam nozzle for efficient application.

Application Areas

  • Structural elements of buildings, attics, crawl space, interior wall insulation, balcony, loggia, doors, window slopes, pipes, canals, and tank kind round surfaces, uneven and rough all surfaces.
  • Roofs, attics, facades, foundations, basements, floors, interior walls, inter-floor overlappings, interior partitions, ceilings, and cellars.
  • Car body and car trailers, boats, yachts, vessels, and all kinds of sea vehicles.
  • Excellent R-Value: 5.66 per inch and thermal insulation value 0.025 W/(m.K), Yield up to 20 board feet for 1-inch thickness if applied from a distance of ~16 inches with normal application speed.
  • A maximum of 1-inch thickness should be applied in a single batch.
  • If more than 1-inch thickness application is needed, a minimum of 30 minutes should have waited between each surface, and the surface should be sprayed with water before the next application.

You can calculate how many cans you need for insulation. * One can of FastCoat covers 20 board feet with an R-value of 5.66 at 1-inch thickness.

Fast coat foam

I have a 30x30 cabin that I'm building and I'm using fast coat to seal the outer wall, the trick is, I live in northern NY, so I have to heat up the cabin before I foam so far so good, half the first floor is done with 34 cans, good stuff

Great product

Product was easy to apply and appeared to be of good quality. I used the upgraded gun and ended up not using the red tip applicator. With the red tip installed the spray pattern was inconsistent. I tried 3 different tips with the same outcome.

Coverage seems good if you take your time and stay the correct distance away.

I was impressed how even I could spray and the coverage is good. Clean surfaces good so it bonds properly. Great product.

Great product

We have been spraying high pressure foam for decades. However when you have small areas that need spray foam, it becomes a pain. With Krackenbond, doing quick touch up's, small areas, and rim joists mostly. This product is hands down the very best.

FAQs

20sq ft per can at 1" thick with an R-value of 5.66.

Depending on the climate of the location you live in, the required R-value changes. For example, if you live in Zone 4 or 5, you will need a depth of 4-inches of this insulation installed in your 2X6 wall to reach R-20 with a clased-cell insulation that has an R-value of R-5 per inch of thickness. You can find R-value chart for the USA here.

Insulation Foam is measured in board feet. So a “20” kit will cover 20 sq. ft., 1-inch thickness.

It's closed-cell

Yes, it's flammable.

You can use it, but no need after the Fastcoat application.

R-Value is 5.66 per inch.

20 board feet at 1 inch thick of spray foam with an R-value of 5.66.

Yes, it would work good for that. It gets in all the cracks and holes.

It is a medium to low density.

You can use it with spray foam gun. You'll also need spray foam gun cleaner or acetone to clean up any messes and prolong the applicator gun life.

Other spray foam guns may work with Kraken FastCoat, but for optimal performance, we recommend Kraken guns. For trusted products, including Kraken and compatible Stanley products, visit OneClickDIY

No, it doesn't. Great stuff has there own special tip, and the directions with Kraken spray foam won't work.

Under a porch. it won't get wet

You can use it on the bottom side of the galvanized roof and shouldn’t expose it to sunlight.

Yes, it prevents heat. You can apply it to the bottom side of the gazebo. It would be better if you cover it with plywood, plasterboard, or similar products that keep it from the direct sunshine. You can paint it with black color if not possible to cover with the other materials.
